Riley's Adventures

This is Riley's Adventures. It's a 2D classic platformer that I've built for my niece Riley, she's 7 and I thought the best birthday gift would be a game just for her. This is a proof of concept of what I would like to create for her, this is my first PyGame project and first experience developing games. This game is all about Riley, travelling through a magical multiverse portal to save her family and friends!

This game is exactly how it seems, there are basic controls with arrow keys to move, spacebar to jump and P for pause, again simple enough for a 7 year old to figure out. I have also tested with a PS4 controller (with L1 acting as pause) and it seems to work fine, unknown about other controllers though. There are 8 actual levels and a 9th which is basically a cutscene. This project, even if it's basic, is a great platform(er) to build from, and I hope to create a more full and complete experience down the line.
